Currently on Thailand onboard MV Panormitis AV, one of the crew Armel Olaño posted on Facebook about their current situation. He said they were not being paid for 4 months since month of April and most of them are already finished contract. Some of them needs medical attention too. Their food provisions are also running out that makes them more worried.
They are calling out the Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte and other Government Agencies that can help them. Armel also said that all of them have families to support and they wish to go home as soon as possible.
It's just so sad that after doing their jobs these hardworking seaman are not being paid. This is only one of the many stories of seafarers currently experiencing the same situation.
